The ditch crossing the fairway is the main feature of the hole. The conservative play is a drive down the right side of the fairway, a lay-up down the left side of the fairway; towards the conifer, leaving an uphill approach to an elevated green. The green is narrow but long, so don't be afraid to take more club to cater for the elevation change, as this will ensure you take the right-hand - greenside bunker, out of play.
The aggressive play is to take a line with your tee shot towards the most prominent silver birch in the woodland beyond the ditch, from here you will be able to navigate the ditch leaving a more comfortable opportunity to attack the green.
